How does Morpheus deliver these amazing results?

Morpheus combines the proven benefits of micro-needling and radio-frequency into one treatment.

Add on PRP

You now have the choice to add Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) to your SkinPen or Morpheus treatment for even better results!  We use the FDA approved ProGen PRP system for safety and to deliver you the best possible PRP result possible!

What is ProGen PRP and how does it work?

The “Vampire Facial” is one name applied to PRP with micro-needling. By adding PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) you will see even greater improvements in skin tone, elasticity and lessening of wrinkles.  PRP uses your own platelets to boost the rejuvenating results.  PRP is optional, but highly recommended.  We use ProGen PRP system, one of the few FDA approved PRP treatment methods.  By selecting ProGen you are choosing what we believe to be the best, most reliable PRP system on the market today. Not all PRP are alike, and many med spas do a “home brew” version to save money.  But the ProGen results speak for themselves!  We draw your blood and prepare your PRP sample using a special centrifuge.  Droplets of PRP are then applied to the treatment area prior to pulsing the skin with Genius.  If you have PRP left over we will massage it into the skin or offer to do micro-injections around the eyes, lips or on the neck.

Is Morpheus painful?

Yes – there is some discomfort with Morpheus 8 treatments.  It varies between patients.  We lessen the discomfort by offering numbing creams and skin cooling.  The discomfort is only during the brief microsecond of each pulse when the skin is heated.  Between pulses there is no pain, and at the end of the treatment the pain is gone.  The results of Morpheus make it all worthwhile.  Some patients take Tylenol 1,000 mg (two extra strength) when they leave home, and this also helps lessen the discomfort.

What about recovery time?

Recovery time varies between patients and body area being treated.  The face and neck areas typically stay red for several days, then fade.  Morpheus 8 body treatments typically take longer to recover – up to two weeks.  There is no skin peeling at all!  Body areas may be “itchy” during healing.  Most of our patients feel comfortable to return to work the next day.  If you want 2 days off at home then we suggest you book your visit on a Thursday afternoon, Friday or Saturday morning.

When will I see results?

You will see improvement in your skin color, pores and scars within a week.  The skin tightening benefits build continuously over the next 3 months.

We discount packages of 3 visits to the same area.  Although you will see benefit from one visit, the best results are going to be seen when you perform 3 treatments to the same area, spaced one month apart.  We also discount adding the Neck to the Face since these two areas should always be performed together.

What is the Home Care?

At Omaha Med Spa your provider will apply a special serum right away.  We call it Peptide Booster and it soothes by drawing moisture into the skin.  Peptide Booster also has all of the proteins needed to help stimulate collagen production.  You will need to apply this product as often as hourly for the first day, and then at least twice a day for the next month.

Start using a sunscreen the following day.  We recommend a SPF rating of 30 – 50.  Reduce sun exposure for the next week.

I’m ready to book my Morpheus. What else do I need to know?

For optimal results, arrive well hydrated on the day of treatment.  If possible, arrive with no makeup and without face or neck jewelry.  Otherwise, your skin makeup and jewelry may be removed at the med spa prior to treatments. Wear a comfortable T shirt that exposes the full neck area.  If you are coming from work, we have gowns that you may change into.  Before scheduling your appointment, decide if you are adding face, neck or both face and neck.  Let us know if you want to add PRP to your treatment as we will allow more time to collect and process your blood sample.

You will also have the option to add on a LaseMD treatment of the face, neck or both face and neck the same day.  This additional treatment will give your skin a glow and actually shortens your recovery time!  The add on cost is less than a separate visit for LaseMD.

Skin Color and Tanning

People of all skin colors may receive a Morpheus treatment.  And you may be treated any time of the year, even if your face is tanned.

ProGen PRP when added to a Morpheus treatment is $275 per 15mL vial.  One vial is enough to treat the face and neck.  Your provider will help you decide on the best option.
