TCA peels target brown spots caused by sun exposure and aging. Your price includes treatment and follow-up visits at 1 and 4 weeks. The national average price for a deep TCA chemical peel such as the one seen below ranges from $350-$1,000. We are pleased to offer this treatment for only $350. A tube of petrolatum ointment is included. You can buy a medical grade SPF 50 from us for under $30. Sharp curved iris scissors are very important to have on hand – we buy the correct scissor, sterilize and package each new pair of scissors and sell one new pair to you for the “at cost” price of only $20.
On the Day of your TCA Peel we will apply enough peel solution to achieve the full frosting as seen in the picture above. Petrolatum Ointment is applied now and frequently during the first week to create a protective layer over the treated areas. You may clean your skin by standing in a luke warm shower, allowing the water to gently spray over the skin for several minutes. Lightly pat the skin dry. Avoid using any rubbing or friction movements over the skin for the next week. Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser is appropriate to use once starting the day following the peel. Reduce sun exposure and use a generous layer of SPF 50 starting on the morning after the TCA peel. Do not use any other skin care products over the first 7 days.
One Day post TCA chemical peel: She is seeing darkening of the brown spots (hyperpigmentation) caused by years of sun exposure. None of these areas are pre-cancerous. The skin will feel dry and tight. Continue with Petrolatum ointment and SPF 50.
Day Two post TCA peel: In the images above skin has started to peel off revealing dramatic improvement in the appearance of her skin. As skin layers peel it is very important to not pull at the edges of peeling skin. If needed, use clean sharp fine scissors (iris curved tip scissors are perfect) to trim off layers of dead skin that have separated.
Day 3 Post TCA Peel: This patient is very excited as she is seeing dramatic improvement in her brown spots. More than 70% of the peeling is complete. The newly exposed skin is pink in color and this will fade over the next few days to weeks. Continued use of SPF 50 remains critical at this point.
Day 4 Post TCA Peel: Her peeling appears complete. There may be some small areas that still exfoliate. Skin care remains the same as mentioned above for a full 7 days. If the skin appears healed at Day 7 the patient may re-start use of serums, moisturizers, Vitamin C & E serum, peptides and Retinol at bedtime. Daily use of SPF 50 all year round remains critical. We have a product called Weekly Peel pads that can be used at home once per week to help maintain these outstanding results. She has a few areas that were missed during the peel and these may be touched up four weeks post peel. Residual brown spots can also be spot treated after 4 weeks. TCA peels can be done on the neck and decolletage (upper chest) but we use a lower percentage of TCA and healing in these areas can take longer. Even with proper use of skin care and sun screen some hyperpigmentation will return over time and this peel can be repeated as needed. We do not offer package discounts for this peel as our pricing is already at the low end, keeping this treatment very affordable and attractive to patients of Omaha Med Spa.
