Underarm Sweating…Dr. Abbott’s story
Dr. Abbott’s story…. (Dec 2020)
I sweat. A lot. And it can be embarrassing. It’s been a problem at work for years and it’s hard to hide.
I knew Botox was expensive and temporary – not the best solution for me.
I had heard from a colleague in Florida, Dr. Steve Weiner, that he has had great success using Genius RF microneedling for permanent reduction in underarm sweating.
So it was time to give it a go. Maureen, Brittany and I came in last Sunday and treated each other.
What we learned is nothing short of amazing. This exceeded my expectations and we need to share the story.
My treatment was done in 1 hour. The next day I noticed right away that I was not sweating in my underarms! There was well over 50% reduction in sweating…and that was just after one treatment!
This is what the treatment looks like….
I did have to shave off my underarm hair in the shower that morning (seemed a bit weird for a guy to do…I know the hair will grow back quickly…Genius does not destroy hair follicles)
If you are bothered by the same problem I have had, please do one of the treatments! It could change your life.
I will now wait a couple of months to see if a 2nd treatment is even needed. You can buy this deal now by clicking on one of the blue buttons. The regular price for this treatment is $1,500. As one of my “Holiday Deals 2020” we are taking $500 dollars off. It’s a great deal, because for the same $1,000 investment you could have one visit for underarm Botox, but the benefit would wear off in 6 months. The Genius benefit is forever!

Genius Hyperhidrosis Q&A
What is Hyperhidrosis? Axillary Hyperhidrosis refers to excessive sweating of the underarms. This common disorder affects 1 in 40. Excessive underarm sweating tends to start in late adolescence. Untreated this problem continues for life. Sweating is an embarrassing problem for a lot of people that can affect relationships at home, work and with family.
How Does Genius work? Genius uses the heat and energy of radiofrequency to destroy sweat glands. Reduced sweating is noted right away and is long lasting. You can expect 30% reduction after one treatment, 50% reduction after two treatments and 70% reduction after 3 treatments. (We found more than 50% improvement after only one visit using our settings and technique).
Is it Painful? If you have had Genius done on the face or neck you already know that it is quite uncomfortable. For face and neck treatments we use numbing cream and the Zimmer chiller. The underarm Genius treatment is different because we do a total of six passes at three different depths. Right away, I knew that more would need to be done. The area needs to be numbed with injections before the procedure. We have perfected these injections and trust me, it makes it all worthwhile! With the lidocaine you will be fine. We also have the Zimmer which can be added. Numbing wears off in several hours.
What is my recovery time? You will be red and mildly swollen for several days. Bruising from the numbing injections is likely but will go away. For the discomfort you can take Tylenol or Ibuprofen over the counter. Also, you can ice for 5 minutes on, 5 minutes off taking care to not over-ice for the first few hours. We found that a few minutes of icing while still at the med spa was all that was needed. If you do hard physical labor with your arms, I would plan on taking 2-3 days off work. For the first 24 hours everyone should avoid cardio workouts. Limit exposure to sun and heat for several days. Underarm deodorant may be used the next day.
What is the cost? One visit is $1,500
What else do I need to know? Shave your underarms before you arrive at the med spa. Wear a loose fitting comfortable top. Drink 1-2 tall glasses of water before arriving as the RF works best if you are well hydrated. Your treatment will take about one hour. If you wish, you may take Tylenol just prior to the start of the treatment.
