Treatment of Minor Skin Lesions
If you believe you may have warts or skin cancer, please see a Dermatologist. We are able to treat some non-cancerous skin lesions.
Brown spots from sun exposure
These respond very nicely to cryotherapy using liquid nitrogen, applied for several seconds using a cotton tipped applicator. The lesion will appear red for a day or two, followed by darkening of the lesion over several more days. 7-10 days after treatment the lesion will peel off, revealing new pink healthy skin underneath, which is very sensitive to the sun (sunburn), so SPF protection is mandatory. More than one treatment per lesion may be necessary. We treat as many lesions as can be done in 15 minutes for a flat charge of $250.
The other option is the TCA Peel or VI Precision Plus Peel. They work very nicely on sun damaged skin causing brown spots, plus you get the other benefits of chemical peels such as improved skin tone, lessening of wrinkles, pores become smaller, and collagen is stimulated. The charge for either peel is $350. Learn more at: Best Deep Chemical Peels near me – Omaha Med Spa
Sebaceous Hyperplasia
We can burn these lesions using Bovie electro-destruction of these lesion. Each lesion is numbed with lidocaine (small injection) followed by burning using the unipolar electrical current from Bovie. Lesions will appear burnt when you leave. Over the next 7-10 days new healthy skin forms underneath, and when the healing is complete, a scab will peel off. The underlying skin is sensitive to sunburn, so SPF use is very important. A small amount of scarring can occur using this method. We treat as many lesions as can be done in 15 minutes for a flat charge of $250.
